Dear GES Families,
It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 2026-2027 school year! I am very excited to be joining the GES community and to serve as Principal for the coming year and beyond.
The beginning of each school year is filled with great anticipation of what is to come. We have all been busy preparing for the upcoming school year, and we feel confident it will be truly amazing. Our time together will be filled with learning, excitement, and growth.
A child's growth and success are best achieved when research-based curriculum and instructional practices are partnered with strong home-school connections. I ask for your support as part of the team by sending your child to school each day and helping them to connect their classroom learning with real-life experiences. You can do this by encouraging reading for pleasure, discussing their school activities, and sharing how you use skills in your work and home life. Other ways to strengthen the connection between home and school include attending special events, joining the Parent Teacher Organization, or volunteering.
Communication is vital to fostering a positive and effective home-school connection. You will receive our electronic Smores newsletter regularly. You may also receive individual reports if there is a need to address academic concerns, unmet behavioral expectations or to share good news. Please also know that we welcome communication from home via email or phone should questions or concerns arise.
I look forward to working with you and your child to foster an engaging, enriching, and successful school year.
